I carried a cool yellow briefcase at the start of my first job after college. After a while, my manager took me aside to diplomatically tell me I needed to climb a few rungs on the corporate ladder before wearing anything so funky.

I immediately knew two things.

She was absolutely right.

​

And I didn't want my career to go up. I wanted it to go out. 

​

Meeting interesting people, telling their stories, coming up with fresh, new ideas -- that's what I loved then and love now. 

​

The totes have changed, but I carry the same sense of wonder, sense of curiosity and always, a sense of humor.
